This year's Marketplace 2011 event allowed participants to:

• Network with other businesses and agencies
• Learn how to leverage their certifications
• Explore the business expo, workshops and seminars. 
• Meet government and corporate buyers

Attendees also learned the latest on how the newly formed WEDC (July 2011) is working in partnership with State agencies, business chambers, associations, and private industry on certification, assistance, and capacity building programs. 

MEET THE NEW WEDC

Special Session Act 7 created a new Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), a public-private corporation to replace the state Department of Commerce

WEDC will lead Wisconsin's economic development efforts. Visit the www.wedc.org website to learn more about this transition.
